Monday Fun-day #17: The Ocean

The ocean is one of our most beautiful resources, and luckily for us water covers over seventy percent of our Earth. Though it can be both the calmest of elements and the most rollicking of tempests, the ocean has always intrigued mankind. It is because of this that we have traversed it so well, and discovered new lands. However, there is much we do not know still about the ocean.

What we do know is that if we continue to destroy our planet, all of our precious water will be the first to go. Already, beaches are filthy and rivers are polluted, but we can still bounce back. The oceans and the rain will revitalize our efforts if we just give it a try.

Love your ocean.

Friday Sports #2: Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks, located in Orange County Southern California (just down the street from the Angels MLB team) are a relatively newer National Hockey League (NHL) team with a Stanley Cup win a few years back. Though they are often the underdog, their team spirit and dedication have pulled them through to some decisive victories.

Among the most well known of their current players are all-star goalie Jonas Hiller, fan favorite and veteran Teemu Selanne, Corey "Scorey" Perry (I bet you can figure out what he does on your own), Bobby Ryan, and the brutal George Parros. Along with the rest of the Ducks, this team's potential has been soaring through the roof for years.

Perhaps the time is ripe for a Cup.

Thursday Games #17: Diablo 3

In just five days, on May 15, 2012, Blizzard will be releasing for everyone the full version of Diablo 3, the long awaited sequel to the highly acclaimed Diablo series. Announced almost four years ago (as Blizzard is absolutely notorious for pushing back release dates over and over), the game has been generating anticipation for regular Diablo fans, and new fans that play other Blizzard games.

In the dark fantasy realm of Sanctuary, a new group of heroes must take up the mantle of their predecessors and save Sanctuary from absolute chaos and destruction at the hands of evil (though, it would seem that "absolute" chaos and destruction would only be one step from their current situation).

If you are excited for the Diablo 3 release by Blizzard, or if you are a new fan to the series, you can be prepared with some excellent, high definition wallpapers:

Tuesday Girls #15: Anime Girls

Tuesday Girls continues with number 15 in the series -- and this time, it is on lovely anime girls. We bring you high definition wallpapers of these gorgeous women, drawn in the Japanese equivalent of Western cartoons. Anime has been growing steadily in America over the past several decades, taking up much of the enthusiasm previously contained to Western cartoon styles.

As it turns out, anime is based on the comic-book style also from Japan that is know as manga. Manga-style drawing (and its child, the anime-style animation) has been long enough to gain a critical position around the world. Japan today still arguably dominates the manga/anime world, though countries like Korea and the U.S. are beginning to pick up pace.

If you want to get into the anime craze, go ahead and check out some of the beautiful anime women that adorn the high definition wallpapers following this. If there isn't anything here for your particular style, then check our other great categories; I am willing to be we have something for you here at Hi.Def.Walls. ;]
