Steampunk is an excellent fashion and genre that has sparked interested lately among the younger generation, namely teens and young adults in colleges and high school. While it may be a younger fashion trend, it has all of the markings of something old. The entire theme is Victorian English!

Fans of science fiction shows and movies will love today's post. Students of all series, from Star Trek to Star Wars to Stargate, can all appreciate the high definition (HD) wallpapers below. Science fiction has pretty much been my lifeline through these (somewhat boring) college days, keeping me entertained and stimulated mentally.

Tuesday Girls #15: Anime Girls

Tuesday Girls continues with number 15 in the series -- and this time, it is on lovely anime girls. We bring you high definition wallpapers of these gorgeous women, drawn in the Japanese equivalent of Western cartoons. Anime has been growing steadily in America over the past several decades, taking up much of the enthusiasm previously contained to Western cartoon styles.

As it turns out, anime is based on the comic-book style also from Japan that is know as manga. Manga-style drawing (and its child, the anime-style animation) has been long enough to gain a critical position around the world. Japan today still arguably dominates the manga/anime world, though countries like Korea and the U.S. are beginning to pick up pace.

[SPECIAL] Pi Day!

If you had not noticed yet (though I am sure everyone on Facebook will tell you the moment you log in), it is March 14 -- more affectionately known in the science and academic world as Pi Day. Though it does sound like a delicious day, we do have to focus on the scholastic priority here: π. So let us give our appreciation for 3.14 with some high definition wallpapers! I promise I will try my best not to post pies.

Friday Cars #7

It's hard to pick a favorite wallpaper series from each of the five or so that I frequently post, but I would have to say that if it isn't Friday Cars, then it must get stiff competition from the Friday series, as this one can definitely get me excited. Best part: there are so many high definition auto wallpapers out there that there is no threat of losing the supply any time soon. ;D

Thursday Game Day #7 [SPECIAL!]

So it's Thursday on Hi.Def.Walls again, which means we get to visit the world of gaming -- yay! How could we feature a better game than the upcoming third and final installment in the Mass Effect trilogy? Mass Effect 3 will be the big finale to tie up all of the ends in the series. Prominently featuring not only the successful saving of Earth, but of the end of a long cycle. Held strong for centuries by the Reapers, the cycle will be hard to break.

Evidently, this game is going to be big, so I made this wallpaper set a special set, as it will Really have more than the usual five backgrounds per post. This special Mass Effect 3 set will Display 25 high definition wallpapers, so us college nerds should have little trouble finding one!
